"Harvey" and "Crunch" go well together


Congrats to Kevin Harvey on signing a professional tryout contract with the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL. The Crunch are the top affiliate for the Columbus Blue Jackets, and this is definitely a great opportunity for Harves. I'll definitely be scoreboard-watching...or should I say PIM-board watching?

Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed left wing Kevin Harvey to a professional tryout contract. This is Harvey's second PTO with the Crunch this season, as he was signed on December 4 and released on December 7.


Harvey, 24, has skated in two games for the Crunch this season, notching one goal and 20 penalty minutes. He has also appeared in 23 games for Reading (ECHL) this year, tallying three goals, seven assists and an ECHL league-leading 122 penalty minutes. A native of Sheffield, Ontario, Harvey was originally drafted by the Calgary Flames in the ninth round, 270th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
